The Stage II of “Merks mājas” residential housing project “Mežpilsēta” put into operation

**Stage II of the award-winning residential housing project “Mežpilsēta” by the real estate developer “Merks mājas” has been put into operation. The new six-storey building has 47 apartments with a functional and ergonomic layout, the owners will be able to move into their new homes already this year. **

The Class A energy efficiency building has two- to three-room apartments with a total area of 45-65 square meters and full, high-quality interior decoration. The price of the apartments starts from EUR 109,000. On September 28, an open house day will be held in the project for the first time. The visitors will have the opportunity to view apartments still available, a common room, as well as the landscaped area.

“While developing this project, we conducted a survey to better understand the reasons why people are considering moving to a new home and what their priorities are. The results of the survey clearly showed that 54% of the respondents would be willing to change their place of residence if it helps to improve their quality of life. What matters to people is the energy efficiency of the building allowing to reduce monthly expenses, as well as the proximity of nature and active recreation opportunities. In the “Mežpilsēta” project, we offer apartments that not only meet these requirements, but even exceed them – providing comfort, quality and long-term sustainable solutions,” explains Roberts Rēboks, Board Member of “Merks mājas”.

“During the Stage II construction of “Mežpilsēta”, our main emphasis was on long-term sustainability and energy efficiency. The chosen building materials and technical solutions such as a ventilation system with heat recovery and underfloor heating ensure both low energy consumption and an optimal indoor climate. The chosen technical solutions have been tested and prove their quality and sustainability. We are pleased with the result achieved and I would like to thank the whole team for the successful implementation of the project,” says Jānis Zilgme, Board Member of “Merko būve”.

For additional comfort, all apartments of the Stage II building have balconies and larger windows providing more natural light. There are common rooms for storing bicycles and baby carriages, and each apartment owner will have a private storage unit in the basement of the building. Also, residents will have access to a shared rest area with a kitchen, a novus table, a dart board, and a green outdoor terrace where they can organize gatherings with the family and friends.

The project is located in Mežciems harmoniously blending natural and urban elements. The nearby Jugla forest offers the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature, while all the necessary infrastructure – from educational institutions to shopping centres – is within reach. The project area is designed with the idea of a comfortable and high-quality life, offering peace and comfort in everyday life.

The “Mežpilsēta” project is one of the leading residential housing projects of “Merks mājas”, which has already earned the recognition of professionals from the first stage. The Stage I buildings earned recognition in the prestigious competition “The Best Building of the Year in Latvia 2022” in the nomination “New Residential Construction”, confirming the quality and sustainability of the project. The second stage of the project maintains the previously established high standards, offering carefully considered apartment plans and high-quality construction that meet modern requirements and customer needs.
