"Mežpilsēta" is the first project by Merko mājas designed for young families, offering compact apartments with smart and comfortable layouts. A fully furnished demo apartment has been created in the building of the project's second phase, giving you the opportunity to experience the complete interior setup. Demo apartments

Technical description

Foundation – cast in-situ reinforced concrete foundation slab. The surface of the foundation slab is intended as the floor of the semi-basement floor. Heat insulation of the base – polystyrene foam.

Foundation, base

Laid hollow concrete blocks. Heat insulation layer Decorative facade plaster.

External walls

A parapet of laid hollow concrete blocks on the roof of the building. Roofing – bitumen roll material. Internal rainwater drainage system. Heat insulation in accordance with energy efficiency requirements.

Roof

Laid hollow concrete blocks. Reinforced concrete walls of the semi-basement floor.

Load-bearing walls

Preformed hollow concrete slab panels with local cast in-situ sections or massive reinforced concrete slabs.

Intermediate floors

Windows

Outer building doors

Metal frame, covered with two layers of gypsum plasterboard from both sides and filled with cotton wool.

Internal partition walls of apartments (between rooms)

Hollow concrete blocks with plaster from both sides. In individual places, additional metal frame lining with two layers of gypsum plasterboard from one side and filled with cotton wool.

Walls between apartments and common use premises and apartments

Precast reinforced concrete slab. Enclosing wall – preformed reinforced concrete. Metal railing.

Balconies and outdoor spaces

Preformed reinforced concrete flights of stairs and stair landings. Painted metal railing.

On all surface floors and basement floor.

Elevator

Each apartment has an individual storage space in the cellar of the building, made of a light, for example, OSB, structure adjacent to load-bearing walls – cast in-situ reinforced concrete. Storage spaces had at least one cast in-situ reinforced concrete wall.

Storage spaces

Common use pram storage room on the 1st floor.
Large common use leisure room on the basement floor.
Common use terrace on the basement floor with an exit to the playground for children.


Common use premises

Improved territory with paved parking spaces and footways, greenery, improvement elements and a playground for children.
There is a shed for waste containers.


Territory, improvement

City district heating. All radiators are equipped with a heat regulation function – adjustable thermostats.
There is an electric towel drier in the bathroom.
The heat meter for each apartment is located in the utility shaft on each floor – with access from the common use hall. Remote meter readings.



Heating

City central wate supply. The hot and cold water meters for each apartment are located in the utility shaft on each floor – with access from the common use hall. Remote meter readings.

Water supply

3-phase connection to electricity networks. There is a distribution cabinet with a control meter in each apartment. Sockets, light switches have been constructed. Terminal points for connecting kitchen appliances have been provided. The buyer shall install luminaries at own expense except for luminaires in toilet facilities and in individual places with suspended gypsum plasterboard ceiling – luminaires will be constructed there. 

Power supply

In residential premises – ventilation system with a heat recovery function (recuperation).

In each apartment, there is a mechanical extraction system from toilets, bathrooms and laundry rooms. Supply – natural, through door apertures.

The customer shall install an extractor hood in the kitchen at own expense. The extraction hood should be selected with a recirculation function and a charcoal filter.


Ventilation

In each apartment, there is a telecommunication socket in one or several rooms.

Telecommunications

There is a video surveillance system in the territory. Escape lighting and escape route indications in halls in common use premises.
Smoke detectors in each apartment.


Security measures

Infrastructure for charging of electric vehicles – 3-phase connection, 11 kW, has been constructed for individual parking spaces.
